5 prediction for 2019 that are virtually guaranteed to come true:

  1. Game of Thrones will release the “final” season in April of 2019 and the pent-up demand will break several records. Of the records include but not limited to; viewership records, illegal download records, and awards recognition records during awards season. Furthermore, the show will dominate the conversation, internet memes, scheduling of social gathering during its airing.
  2. Avengers 4 will be released in April of 2019 and the culmination of over a decade of Marvel Cinematic Universe (MCU) finally reaching a critical turning point and resolution will also break several records. Disney stock will get a slight boost from the combined efforts of the great 2018 it just had plus the incredible results of the first-weekend release of the movie. To contrast, this Captain Marvel will be released a month earlier and do respectable numbers but will be wildly panned for trying to shovel in a last minute character into the MCU to carry over into Phase 4.
  3. Stepping away from the escapism of the cinematic film industry, the stock market will continue its volatile swings generally in a downward trend. The 90 day truce with China will end with no real solution or another kicking of the can down the road. This, in turn, will send the market in a downward spiral even more.
  4. More unicorns in the tech sector will race to IPO and get into the public markets as their investors’ pressure them for viable exit strategies. Those that IPO early may weather the coming storm for the stock market that should last 18 to 36 months to stabilize if it ever does.
  5. This is a personal decree just to put some skin in the game. I will get better at being better. I will do more, be more productive, and take my own advice. Launch three additional companies mostly in the app space. Be able to better define my goals and be a better orator of my thoughts.
